The title is confusing, what is meant is 'showing wrong position'. The maps app is only showing the position that the geolocation api is providing. This is a platform/device issue, not a Maps issue.

I tested this on a Geeksphone Keon device with build 20131016 FFOS v1.1 Pushing the button that is supposed to show my current position says that I am somewhere in Nevada, which is incorrect (I'm in Mountain View, CA). Since it looks like the geolocation api of the device is at fault, not the app itself, I'm assigning this bug to Jason Smith. @Jason, who should this bug get redirected to?

Sounds like this is a vendor bug.
