(Whiteboard: [ucid:DSDS30, 1.4, FT:RIL])
As a user, I should be able to select which SIM should be in standby (either 1 or both)
Acceptance Criteria:
1) User should have an ability to put either 1 or both SIMs in standby.
2) If the user does not want to receive calls from 1 or both the SIMs, they should have an ability to disable 1 or both SIMs. (Airplane mode) - Work with UX to potentially unify Airplane mode with this.

Joe suggested to move this to v1.4.
Sandip, and Wilfred, can we move this to v1.4?

Hi Joe, I think the Acceptance Criteria 1 is partially covered in DSDS2 correct? (when we select the primary SIM, the other SIM becomes standby). Also AC2 is partially covered with Airplane mode (no standby SIM). Let's confirm this so we can decide.

Without this user story, it's just that user cannot deactivate ONE of the 2 SIMs.
It's either active BOTH SIMs (then in this case, users preference in settings decides which SIM is the more active one being used for outgoing calls/messages/Data and which one is put in standby mode being able to receive calls and messages only)
or deactivate BOTH SIMs via flight mode on
IIRC, this was not in the initial set of DSDS user stories. I believe this was added per our later discussions to provide better experience to end users
This is why I suggest this to move to later. Can you confirm the acceptance of moving this to later releases asap so the team can get focused on the rest of the stories? Thanks

I'd like to echo Joe's comment here. This is also my understanding and makes sense to me.

I double checked and you are right - it was an internal add. It was marked as a gap in initial analysis but I do not think it is essential for 1.3. Let's move this to v1.4.

Standard airplane mode for both SIM I can see as a must have feature but this seems to take that feature to the next step. This is a nice to have but not blocking release of v1.4

Hi Wilfred,
So are we going to have this feature in 1.4 (or even 1.5)? From UX perspective, we still think it's very valuable, especially for business men who travel a lot and might need to switch off a SIM to reduce unexpected charges when it's roaming.
Thanks :-)

i would move this to v1.5 or beyond - this is a very nice feature but not something urgent for v1.4
