When a new device isn't connected to the internet and performs a search - the user doesn't get the "no connection" message.
The message DOES appear after connecting, performing a search, and then disconnecting again.

What does "new device" mean in this context?

"new device" is a device without an "e.me session". either:
- from the box
- had it cache cleared
- or even if enough time had gone by without using e.me (expiration rules)
