There are many different ways in which `require` can now be used in the sdk, we should have a document of some kind for this.
Erik I assume documenting current behavior more that this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/developers/docs/sdk/latest/dev-guide/guides/modules.html is not worth it! Although we should definitely document behavior of what we're planing on donig, so marking this as blocker for loader metabug.
What I'd like to see is good documentation for non SDK users. You've built a great thing here, usable by anyone, but the current documentation is very difficult to understand.
