Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20131030131604
Steps to reproduce:
Since Firefox 25 :
* in tab#1 hit Ctrl+F and search "text 1"
* in tab#2 hit Ctrl+F, if no search has been done before in tab#2, "text 1" is used
Now search for "text 2" in tab#2 and go back to tab#1, "text 1" is still in search box.
Actual results:
The searched text can be different from one tab to another.
Expected results:
The searched text is the same in all tabs.
If the search box is already filled in with some text, hitting Ctrl+F does not make the browser starting to search.
Firefox only begins to search automatically when you type something in the search box.
2 scenarios :
* Current behaviour : find bar does not keep the same text, user who wants to search for the same text has to go back to precedent tab, Ctrl+F to focus, Ctrl+C to copy, back to other tab, Ctrl+F to focus, Ctrl+V to paste.
* Desired behaviour : find bar keeps the same text, user who wants to search for another text just hits Ctrl+F and type a new text in
The less time consuming behaviour is the second scenario.
