Moz 0.9.3 bould 2001080110. Moz. is not able to fullyt import addressbook. Individual entries are imported, but the mailgroups are lost. Just empty groups are present after the import.
address book issue, not a mail db issue.
Assignee: bienvenu → chuang
Component: Mail Database → Address Book
The bug stays in Moz 0.9.4. It also seems more general issue concerning importing mail lists, see the other similar bugs, bug 91295 or maybe bug 99701.
Marking these all WORKSFORME sorry about lack of response but were very overloaded here. Only reopen the bug if you can reproduce with the following steps: 1) Download the latest nightly (or 0.9.6 which should be out RSN) 2) Create a new profile 3) test the bug again If it still occurs go ahead and reopen the bug. Again sorry about no response were quite overloaded here and understaffed.

Moz 0.9.7, build 2001122106 - the import of groups from .LDIF is still not functioning. See also bug 72400.
Reporter: are any of these bugs related? bug 62084, bug 113780
Bug 113780 seems to be unrelated. Bug 62084 is similar. It started differently but the late comments from October 2001 are describing exactly what I filed: No matter how big the lists are, only the list names are imported, the lists themselves are empty. This probably causes the rejection by the mailserver as it is described in the bug 62084 - generally the mailserver cannot know what the name of the list stands for and it tries to interpret the list-name as a local user mailbox.
Ok, marking as dup. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 62084 ***
