When clicking on the top left of any window in Windows it should open a system menu, even if there is no icon or indication. See IE and chrome for example. Australis windows don't do this.
I think this should be fixed before the new UI reaches release.

Note that older builds didn't show a system menu but it did bring up the Firefox menu. We should have some kind of menu there though for standard things like Restore | Move | Size |Minimize | Maximize ... Close.
It is very apparent to me with Australis UI but not with the old UI because we had a menu that we replaced the system menu with.

Is it possible we have code specifically to suppress this custom menu? We otherwise let Windows handle mouse stuff (e.g. aero snap and the window controls and the resize gripping on the border) so I'm surprised this part doesn't work.

Yep I'm not 100% sure off hand, but I don't think we need to create a custom menu here, just allow Windows to handle it or something like that.

The menu still works with a right click in the top left of the window, when not maximised.

Tentatively marking as P4 - I think this is a platform convention that we should adhere to.

Ed Morley correctly says the menu is accessible if right clicking, but can I politely request on behalf of the silent majority of windows users - please just follow the standard appearance and behavior precisely?
Appearance: Small icon.
Left Double-Click: Close window. << This behavior has also been broken.
Left Single-Click: Show system menu.
Right Single-Click: Show system menu. Thanks
