To recreate:
Copy application.ini from the main firefox directory into browser.
Change Vendor and Name.
Go to the main firefox directory and type:
firefox -app browser\application.ini
Now go to the jumplist and select New Window, New Tab or New Private Window.
It tries to start a new Firefox instance. It should use the running instance.
In addition, all of the browser.taskbar.lists preferences are ignored, so you can't turn off the jump lists.
