The option "Check spelling before sending" within Mail and Newgroups Preferences
is disabled. This option is available for Linux 6.1.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. From browser, select Edit/Preferences
2. Expand Mail and Newsgroups list
3. Select Message Composition, and find the option in the right hand side of the
window.
QA to me, assign to shannond and add blocker

the spellchecker is not available under Mozilla but only under Netscape 6. Which
version are you using exactly, the user agent you gave is not Netscape 6!

The reporter probably filed this using N4.x. I checked the HPUX N6.1 build and
it does disable the spell check option.

I don't think that was the point that ducarroz was making. The spell checker is
a NETSCAPE componant only. It is not a part of mozilla. This should be in
bugscape, not bugzilla.
