Per the UX mockup in bug 935640, we want to allow the provider to toggle the sidebar open/closed from their panels. I am still reluctant on this since it means a new nav.mozSocial api, but after talks with both boriss and madhava, the best, if not optimal, ux is to have the sidebar toggle button in the providers panel. It's also the most consistent with other toolbar buttons that show sidebars (e.g. bookmark menu button).
- sidebar open/close will require user event
- add nav.mozSocial.sidebar.open() and .close()
- open will either return the window object, similar to window.open(), or via callback (similar to other mozSocial apis)
