See my comment (2001-08-04 06:59) in bug 92915 I think bug 92915 should be reopened, but I can't (?)
The comment was:------- Additional Comments From coen@rosdorff.dyndns.org 2001-08-04 06:59 ------- I can confirm this problem, although it's very hard to reproduce. I'm using Squid 2.3S4. The testcase above didn't show the problem for me. I see it sometimes when I'm posting messages to a message board, or when I'm generating al lot of requests in a short time. (i.e. opening pages with allot off images) </comment> Does this not happen if you don't use a proxy? Bug 92915 was for a specific failure, and squid doesn't have this problem, AFAIK. Is this repeatable? Are you sure that you're not seeing bug 77072?
I don't think it's bug 77072 When this happen, mozilla isn't sending any request to the proxy. (According to the "active requests" list form squid, en tcpdump) It is 'sort of' repeatable. I can't give a real testcase. It happens after browsing for some time. If it happen, it's possible to disable the proxy in the preferences and continue with browsing. The problem started ~ 1 or 2 months ago.
Right - if we think that 8 connections are being used, we won't use any more. Do you have a debug build, to create http logs for? This will be harder if you don't have a test case. Otherwise, can you attach packet traces of just before this occurs?
Sorry, no debug build available here. (I don't have a compiler at all on win32 :-) If you can tell me what kind of packet traces to make, I'll try. (tcpdump or another one)
I'm seeing something simmilar too - see my comment on bug 95499
... and I can't do a debug build of 0.9.3 ATM, for various reasons. Sorry for teh delay. So a packet trace would be good, but I'm hoping to get http debugging turned on for 0.9.4. Does this always happen after a POST?
Not always after a POST. I really can't say what the trigger is for this problem. Sometime it works for a few hours, sometime only a few minutes. What kind of trace should I make ? (Because I don't have a testcase it can be very large !)
It seems to me that it is fixed now. Do you see the problem when using latest nightlies?
1 or 2 weeks ago, the problem was still there. I'll try now with 2001091003. More information asap. (2 or 3 hours.)
Not reproduced so far. I 'll test some more next day.
