I got a message from a carrier (TeliaDK), one of those ones that welcomes you to the country, but it cannot be opened. In the "Messages" screen (initial screen) the sender is listed as "Welcome@" and the rest of the message is not displayed. Tapping on the message causes this error message in logcat: I/Gecko ( 1116): ContactDB: normalized filterValue is empty, can't perform match search.
Device: Peak Build ID: 20131221064155 Gaia commit: c1ed307f Gecko: 29.0a1
Summary: Can't open SMS from a carrier filterValue is empty → [Messages] Can't open message from a carrier filterValue is empty
Component: Gaia::SMS → DOM: Contacts
Product: Firefox OS → Core
Moving back to the SMS app. This is a dupe for bug 955925 but I suspect that the use of the real "normalize" function (as opposed to our mock normalize as before) makes this happen. Will need to check whether "number with letters" work properly these days.
