*** Original post on bio 1119 at 2011-10-27 12:06:55 UTC *** Note that Pidgin's plug-in page says "Only for Windows with Steamclient" [1], I don't think Steam is even available for other platforms so this shouldn't matter too much. This also requires Open Steamworks [2], which itself seems to be Windows only. Will check it out soon. I don't think we would want to support this as it isn't a standard protocol.

This would be a great example of why we might want extensions to be able to implement protocols.
