The refactored keyboard in test_apps/demo-keyboard/ does not yet have the auto-punctuation feature that the system keyboard has. It does turn double space into space period, but does not turn space comma (for example) into comma space. Note, however, that this will need to be enabled on a per-layout basis. In French typography, for example, it is apparently required to put a space before certain punctuation characters, so we need to be able to disable auto punctuation for certain languages.
