When you type text into the location bar and the drop down appears the last item is to 'Search Google for "text text"' where Google is your Default Search Engine. When you type the first character this appears, when you type the second character it is not updated and for the third and following characters the "text text" bit it one character behind. Examples: Text in Location Bar -- In double quotes for search 1 -- "1" 12 -- "1" 123 -- "12" earwax -- "earwa" This is with Build 2001081504 on Windows 2000.
