As a reference, the Bugzilla "View Bug Activity" and "Format for Printing" links use bold. (<b><a></a></b> though as opposed to the "abba" scheme reported). Changing platform to Win98 since I don't see this on linux 2001081715. Is there a stylesheet defining the :active pseudoclass to be the same as the normal link which causes it to appear not to work? Or is this windows only?

Ouch. This is worse than I thought; you cannot highlight a bold link, nor an italic link!
