Youtube videos using RTSP consistently display with a lower video quality than the same video when viewed in the youtube app or the video app.
Repro Steps:
1) Updated Buri to BuildID: 20140127004002
2) Launch web browser.
3) Navigate to http://bit.ly/1bsSLUz
4) Type something into the search bar and press 'Submit Query'. (I searched for 'cats')
5) Tap on the play button to watch the resulting video in the browser.
6) Observe video quality.
7) Tap on the link directly beneath the video to watch the same video using the video app.
8) Compare video quality to previous video.
Actual:
Resolution and framerate of the video played in-browser are of lower quality than when played in the video app.
Expected:
Both videos play with similar quality.
Environmental Variables:
Device: Buri v1.3 Moz RIL
BuildID: 20140127004002

Actually, this same problem I've seen happen in the video app. It's a general issue with videos being rendered via RTSP - the frame rate is poor, so you'll see obvious choppiness while watching the YouTube video.

We discussed this later in triage when product joined the call - the proposal going forward is to throw an error when video is detected given the fact that quality of video with RTSP is poor. This would be a blocker for shipping video support for RTSP, so moving this to 1.4?

No longer going to block - RTSP video needs to be preffed off in 1.4 per a drivers decision to cut scope to only DSDS & QC required features.

Jenn - I don't think this bug is still relevant. YouTube now uses MSE for streaming. Can we just close it?
