This is a very minor update to the icon dock background in the homescreen.  Ideally, this is implemented in CSS rather than bitmaps, if performance is not affected.

What is the status of this?
Is this still needed if we are going with the vertical homescreen?
This was meant for 1.4 as part of homescreen refresh back then, which got descoped to just replacing the app icons, so this bug is no longer valid.
