The Home Panels in settings should have icons, both in the Home settings page, as well as in the "Add panels" dialog.

If we're going to do this, we should probably ship icons for the built-in panels.
We've also discussed showing descriptions for the panels as help text, although if we do that we'll need to change how we indicate the default state of panels. This description bit could happen in a different bug, but both description and icon would involve augmenting PanelConfig and the Home.panels API.

Sorry Margaret -- are you needinfo-ing me because you need some icons, or are you asking me if I agree? :)

Sorry, multi-part question :)
First part: Do you think we should add icons for built-in panels, and if you do, could you create icons for that? (Although that wouldn't block progress on this bug, and this bug isn't one of our highest priorities anyway.)
Second part: Do you think we should support panel descriptions, and if we you do, have you thought at all about how we'd indicate that a panel is the default?

Friendly ping here, this might fit in nicely with some of the "add descriptions to settings" work that we have planned.

Using an Icon to replace the title of the Home panel is something we're exploring on the iOS side but I'm not sure that it's clearer than what we currently have ATM (also considering our power of different languages) and it deviates quite a bit from Android standards.

antlam, is this still something we're considering? If so, maybe this should be part of the settings refresh you have planned.

Thank you for the NI! I almost forgot about this one.
I'll make it block the proper meta first and reconsider. Currently, I'm not convinced the benefits are worth the added resources, using up metaphors, creating new icons, etc... But I could be wrong.
Either way, adding it to that meta will make it easier to track this one.

I think this is out of scope for our settings reorg in Fx 45.
No longer blocks: settings-reorg
