Commercial trunk builds 2001090408 on NT 4.0, linux 2.2, mac 9.1 Both modern and classic themes. Problem: If you migrate a 4.x profile that had some subscribed newsgroups, when you bring up the 'Items for Offline Use window' (from the 'select button' in Download/Sync or in pref section of Offline&Disk Space) and try to check a folder, the result is no checkmark is applied in real time. If you hit ok and revisit the window, you will see the checkmark. This only applies to migrated profiles that had existing subscribed newsgroups. I tried creating a new newsgroup account and selecting a newsgroup in 'Items for Offline Use window' and I was able in real time to check or uncheck a newsgroup. This does not apply to migrated mail accounts. I can check/uncheck a mail folder in the 'Items for Offline Use' window and see it applied in real time. This bug is only for newsgroups that were in a 4.x profile. This might be an outliner problem, so I am ccing Seth. (Possibly even a dupe/related to bug 95377 ??) Steps to reproduce: 1.Subscribe to some newsgroups in your 4.x profile. 2.Using latest build, convert your 4.x profile to N6.x profile 3.Start messenger. 4.login to your mail account 5.Do Either one of these 2 things: -File|Offline|Download/Sync Now| select button -Edit|Mail/News account settings|Offline&Disk Space|select button 6.expand your newsgroup server in Items for 'Offline Use window' so it displays the subscribed newsgroups for that server 7.try checking one of those newsgroups result: nothing happens, no checkmark appears but if you hit ok and then go back to the 'Items for Offline Use window', you will see the newsgroup now has a check. Same applies if you are trying to uncheck a newsgroup. The checkmark doesn't appear/dissappear in real time. expected: a checkmark to appear/dissappear as soon as i click on it.
More comments. I sometimes see this problem with Mail folders in Classic theme and sometimes with a converted 4.x profile or brand new profile. If you click on twisty/'+' to expand/hide folders that will also do a 'refresh' when trying to see if you checked/unchecked a folder in Items for Offline Usage Window. To me it does sound more like bug 95377 but I'll let you guys decide.
