The options panel in the toolbox has a "Web Console" section, it should be renamed to "Console" as it affects "Browser Console" too.

I don't think so that this is a good idea. The tab bar does not have enough space, so we shorten name of any tool, like "Storage" or "Console". But everywhere else in the Firefox UI, that tools is called "Web Console" only.

It seems more informative and obvious to have a full name of the tool in the Options Panel.

Well, our current implementation is really confusing. When you launch the Browser Toolbox, the tool should be named "Browser Console", but instead it's named "Web Console" (tooltip). 
I've heard some time ago that both Web and Browser Console were merged.

So I actually thought that Console was the actual name for the tool.

That I think should be fixed then...

Yes, but settings also need to be updated. Since the settings are both for Browser and Web Console, it'd be nice to just use "Console".

Hovering 'Console' in Browser Toolbox should say 'Browser Console' and it should use the browserconsole prefs. Wrt. labeling we could just say 'Console' in both of the toolboxes - to simplify things.

Merging the prefs is a no-go: in the browser console you want different filters enabled versus the web console.
