Meta bug to track work for contextual hints, so users can discover Firefox features, learn how to do common actions (bookmarking, reader mode, etc).

I played with the APK a little. Initial feedback: * The banner looks nice and we can add animations to it for opening and hiding. Adding some smarts to the banner so that if we *do* slide left or right, the banner should go away on it's own. * The reader icon jiggle is very cool. Used sparingly, it will add some whimsy and attention focus to the app. * The arrow popup does a nice job too. We probably want to work on the positioning a bit more: where the arrow touches the focus control and just moving the box away from the left edge of the screen a bit. Well done! These are great starting places for us to add more features. Thanks a lot Sola.

This makes me happy. I love all of it, and generally agree with Mark's feedback. Banner * If we were to do this on the homepage, I would suggest animating it in after the page appears * Also we should probably find a way to ensure a tip banner and a snippet banner don't show up at the same time. It gets a little jammed up. Reader icon * <3 * I would love to pair this with an arrow popup perhaps, that explains what this jiggling thing is Arrow popup * Very nice as well. I wonder if all of our tips would be based on the same colour palette. So we could have banners, arrow popups, other stuff, but maybe they are all blue so a user can start to associate that with "helpful tips" Thanks for getting this moving, Sola, awesome work.
