See attached screenshot. This is visible when the forward button is showing and the user mouses over the forward button (mouse not shown in screenshot due to screenshot software).

This should be resolved now, since bug 997131 landed on m-c. Jared, can you verify?

Yes, I don't see this anymore on Firefox Nightly 2014-05-06.

This still is not completely fixed. In the current nightly (firefox-32.0a1.en-US.win32.zip 17-May-2014 13:07) there's still some asymmetrical inaccuracy in the clip-path (see upper part of the rounded corner in the following screenshot)

You seem to be using a custom theme. Disable it or use safe-mode, this is most likely a bug with that theme.

I am not using a custom theme. To take the screenshot I used chrome://browser/content/browser.xul and set the background of "#nav-bar" to black for increased visibility. In the default theme it's also present but just not as apparent because of the grayish background.

You can use a "userChrome.css" with the content "#nav-bar {background: black !important;}" to be able to easily see the issue. The mentioned inaccuracy is still visible in all button states (active/inactive) and with the forward button visible/invisible.

I can confirm the issue you are seeing Eduard. Can you please file a new bug that is blocking this bug to get this fixed?
