I play Spades at yahoo.com (follow the link for games, then spades).
When it loads a room, it tries to a load a java applet. Since I didn't have
java, it told me to get the plug-in. The first time I did this, I clicked Linux
by accident. I had already tried to get Mozilla working in Linux with no luck
whatsoever so I had reverted back to Windows. So I clicked Linux by accident.
It came back with an error (-208 i think but not sure). I restarted, and re-did
everything, selecting win32 plugin this time. Ran, installed, Mozilla gave a
success message. Closed browser, restarted, got the same "You need the plug-in,
click here to get it." I restarted my computer. Got the same message. Clicked
the plugin, went through the process again... Got a successful return message.
The java plug-in still doesn't work.

I've had the same problem on my machine.
Seems to be a dupe of bug 100393.
