Details

After Gaia use API to control wifi instead of settings, and take care of interaction with hotspot mode, we can remove the corresponding parts in gecko including: 1. listen to settings change to modify wifi state. 2. Command queue for handling wifi enable/disable commands.
I will take over this bug. Feel free to take it back if you are still working on it.

Hi Arthur, Please let us know your plan to use wifi/wifi hotspot APIs instead of settings to turn on/off wifi. Do we have bugs to track this?

The issue was tracking using bug 1050143. Still have no plan on it but this should be done with high priority.
