This part of the fabfile says that a new packaged app should be deployed each time fireplace is deployed: https://github.com/mozilla/fireplace/blob/master/fabfile.py#L80-L84 Compare dev: https://marketplace-dev.allizom.org/developers/app/marketplace/status With payments-alt: https://payments-alt.allizom.org/developers/app/marketplace/status The latter hasn't been updated since March 31, 2014.

If this settings isn't set: https://github.com/mozilla/fireplace/blob/master/fabfile.py#L40-L41 They don't deploy. Jason did this for payments-alt and marketplace-altdev.
