There should not be a "sponsored" label applied to enhanced affiliate tiles, such as MDN. That label is reserved exclusively for partner tiles.

Marking Tiles that have no commercial relationship is confusing users, we may want to try an alternate indication for "enhanced". For now we are incorrectly marking sites like MDN as sponsors when there is no financial relationship related to the change in Tile. Lets only show sponsored when the Tile is a sponsored type.
Acceptance criteria:
* Enhanced Tiles with the type = "sponsored" will have a sponsored indication
* Enhanced Tiles with the type != "sponsored" will have no sponsored indication
See 'type' : https://wiki.mozilla.org/Tiles/Technical_Documentation#JSON_Format

I don't see any Tiles marked as "Sponsored" using a clean profile on Windows 7 64-bit (latest Nightly, Aurora and Firefox 34 beta 1).
Is this intended or should I file a separate bug for it?

You'll need to have a mozilla.org history tile showing in the top sites that then gets enhanced. You can get a mozilla.org history tile by typing in mozilla.org in the location bar and letting it load.
