"These apps should be relevant to my country  and filtered according to my Platform Filtering settings on this page (my device, all devices)."

So that means we'll have to apply another set of filtering on top of the results from the recommendation engine.

UI wise, let's just copy over the stuff from search, if that's possible.

This should be the case already since I'm using the usual code path that handles this already. Closing as fixed and will await verification (once the recommendation server comes online).
