From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.78 [en] (Win98; U) BuildID: 2001101117 I set "Mozilla will ask for your master password" to "if not been used for 20 minutes", but it asks for the master password every time a login (to bugzilla, for example) is necessary Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.see above 2. 3. Actual Results: see above Expected Results: see above
The same problems appears here with the setting "The first time it is needed". The problem does not only appear in Mail&News but also in the browser itself. (the problem did NOT appear in v0.9.4) Build ID: 2001122106
Bug also appears in Build:2001122503 (both tests on Win2k)
And here on Linux with 0.9.7. But only after I removed my ~/.mozilla to start off from scratch. The old migrated ~/.mozilla did not create this problem.
After updating to 0.9.7 (NT 4.0) every time I need a login password manager asks for the master password.

This bug clearly isn't unconfirmed
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
I have also seen this bug on RedHat Linux 7.2, Build 2001122617. This problem did not exist in 0.9.4. Not only does the browser prompt when it needs to request a login, but it also prompts every time it could _store_ a login. BTW, is this a bug in MailNews, or is this a bug in the PSM?
reassigning to morse since this appears to be happening everywhere for those affected by it.
