Here, when I report a bug, I get this message at the bottom of the bug report window:- Some fields initialized from your user-agent, Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.6+) Gecko/20011127. If you think it got it wrong, please tell endico@mozilla.org what it should have been. OK, fine, but when the bug is submitted, this info doesn't appear anywhere and I get complained at for not telling what build ID I'm using.

Sorry, I've been informed that the build is not intended to be recorded in the bug report in case the reporter is reporting about a bug in a different build, but the message give the impression that the full build ID is recorded. However, I have a suggestion: could you either: paste the build into the bug report with a comment asking the user to correct the build ID if this is not the one being reported about or: change this message: Some fields initialized from your user-agent, Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.6+) Gecko/20011127. If you think it got it wrong, please tell endico@mozilla.org what it should have been. to something like: Some fields initialized from your user-agent, Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.6+) Gecko/20011127. Please copy this information into the bug report if this is the build you are reporting about, otherwise please supply the correct build from Help About Mozilla.
