tbpl's bot account is tbplbot@gmail.com. i think it would be clearer if it were renamed to tbpl@bots.tld (or similar), and this has the bonus of ensuring bugmail will never be generated/delivered for this account. there's a few pieces within bugzilla that will need to be updated, so if this is something you're ok with i'll need to ensure that this change happens after i've pushed the required changes.

Yeah I'm up for changing this - we don't need the notifications sent to an actual email address. The only limitation is that we'll lose the gravatar image, but that's not too critical. I would very much like to not use the name 'tbpl'. TBPL doesn't exist any more. So perhaps treeherder@bots.tld ? We'll need to update the email address in the stage and prod settings.py - but someone with access to IT's puppet will have to make that change (and coordinated with the BMO account change).

Once bug 1179310 lands (shortly), this will be easier to do, since we can just adjust in the OF configs rather than needing to get someone with access to the sysadmins puppet repo involved. (It will also be safer, since the job in bug 1179821 will only run once a day, so plenty of time to update credentials/naming everywhere). We'll likely want to rename the bot to orangefactor@bots.tld rather than treeherder@bots.tld, since that will be what is commenting periodically, rather than Treeherder.

Since it will be a no-op in terms of impact at the moment - at some point at your convenience, could you rename all instances of 'treeherder@bots.tld' in the BMO repo to 'orangefactor@bots.tld' - then this bug will not need to wait on a deploy in the future :-)
