Details
(Whiteboard: [2012 Fall Equinox])
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.7) Gecko/20011226
BuildID:
I have the sites www.mozilla.org and www.e-zim.com on my personal toolbar.
When I switch between these by clicking on the toolbar, the favicon of the one
II start from changes on the toolbar to the favicon of the site I'm changing to.
I.e. If I start at www.e-zim.com and then click on the mozilla.org item in the
toolbar, I end up with two items on the toolbar that have the mozilla favicon.
This reverses when I move in the other direction.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Add the site http://www.e-zim.com/ to your Personal Toolbar
2.Visit this site by clicking on the toolbar link for it. The favicon should be
an orange circle with a white 'e' on it
3.Click on the "Mozilla.org" link on the toolbar.
N.B. Using the Classic theme with Mozilla 0.9.7
Actual Results: e-zim personal toolbar link's favicon changes from white 'e' on
orange background to the red mozilla favicon.
Expected Results: No change should occur to the current site's favicon on the
Personal Toolbar when one switvches to another site
This problem seems to be website specific. I have tried with google and mozilla
and that seems to be ok.

a short question : Do you have a zero disk or memory cache size or something
like this ?

Firstly I forgot to say that I was using the "Classic" theme.
The memory cache is 4096KB and the disc cache is 50000KB.
The cache compare option is set to "When the page is out of date".

Can reproduce on Linux 20011228, marking NEW
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
I could reproduce this with 0.9.7 on both w2k and linux. Haven't tried a recent
build though.
In fact, all I needed to do was this:
1. go to www.e-zim.com and drag the site icon to the personal toolbar
2. click back to return to bugzilla
Now the e-zim favicon on personal toolbar is replaced with the red
mozilla/bugzilla favicon.

I'm not sure if this is related or not, but I have a similiar behavior with the
icons for Slashdot and Quicken.
From what I can tell, Quicken doesn't have a favicon, so when I click on the
personal toolbar link for Quicken.com and then visit my Slashdot link, both
Quicken.com and Slashdot have the same favicon. Switching back to the Quicken
link, however, doesn't make any change to any of the favicons on my personal toolbar
I'm currently using Build 2002022503 on Win2K

This seems impossible to fix by the "fix" to the alleged bug 127349 :-(
Depends on: 127349

I could confirm that. Clicking on a Personal Toolbar Folder (PTF) element and
shortly after on an other, then the first site's icon will be assigned to the
second too.
Reproducible: Always
Version: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv 0.9.2) Gecko/20010726
Netscape6/6.1

linux@swsbooks.hu, you'd better install Mozilla 1.7. Netscape 6.1 is almost 3.5
years old...

I'm getting this in FF3/Vista, with two icons in a folder inside the bookmarks toolbar. The lower one changes the higher but never vice-versa. I mentioned this on a chat room and another guy said he had the same problem sometimes.

Seeing this now in FF3 on WinXP. (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.4; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; ffco7) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4)
The most recent icon/bookmark on my bookmarks toolbar changes to be the favicon of whatever site I'm visiting, even when it's accessed through the regular bookmarks menu and not the bookmarks toolbar.
