Description:
When the user performs a share activity to Messages, a blank teal background appears for 1-2 seconds before the Messages app loads in.


Repro Steps:
1) Update an Aries to 20150810142756
2) Go to gallery and select an image.
3) Tap the share icon and select Messages.


Actual:
Blank teal background appears for 1-2 seconds before Messages app loads in.


Expected:
Messages app opens without blank screen appearing.

This issue seems to have occurred gradually, and gets less severe moving back from 2.5 to 2.1. The issue does not occur at all on 2.0.

The video is not the "share" activity from Gallery but but "new" activity from Dialer. But I suspect the issue is similar :)

Can you confirm that on 2.2 and 2.1 we don't see the blank background but we do see the "inbox" view before entering the expected panel ?

Can you also please measure whether this is faster/slower/same to enter the expected panel when using the activity ?

On Flame 2.2 the blank background flashes extremely briefly, and the inbox screen pops up for a short time as well.

On Flame 2.1 the blank screen very briefly flashes, then the inbox view pops up for longer than on 2.2.

Flame 2.5 and Aries have a longer blank screen with no inbox view.

I think the activity is taking roughly the same amount of time on each of these branches, but 2.1 and 2.2 flash the blank screen along with the inbox view, whereas 2.5 and Aries just show a teal/white background the whole time.

Fixed in bug 1228352. Now we display the same color as the header with a fade-in animation, this is much smoother.
