Details

We're currently blocked from retiring the Spark distro because we're not sure if foxfooders OTAing from Spark builds to base FxOS will encounter problems. Here's what we expect to happen when trying it:

1. The Spark apps won't be deleted.
2. The new apps being checked in in bug 1196992 will be duplicated on their Homescreens, because they existed in both the Spark distro, and now the base distro. It's possible that the OTA process is smart enough to detect this and handle it correctly.
3. They may lose their wallpapers, or other customizations, though this is doubtful.

We need a concentrated testing effort to evaluate this process.
