This user story - age and gender stereotypes aside - doesn't match the title of this bug, and contains 2 very different use cases. Comment 1 re-itereates both. Is this bug: - backup & restoration of contacts via a cloud service ? - importing contacts from an existing cloud service (we support some already) - an online service where someone can manage your contacts on your behalf? What is the difference between this bug and bug 1198122? (1198122 sounds like it was supposed to be about importing from desktop -> phone, but then the discussion is about sync, which sounds more like this bug).

This bug is currently about two use cases: backup and restore of contacts, and an online service where someone manages contacts on your behalf. The thought process was this could be done with one architecture where contacts are backed up and stored on server. Both FxOS and Desktop Browser are clients. Browser could be used to manage the contacts from remote location. Thanks for pointing out 1198122. That is about the 2nd use case: online service where you or someone manages contacts on your behalf. To simplify this, lets keep separate bugs for different use case. We can use this bug for "backup and restore of contacts" and use 1198122 for "online service where manages contacts on your behalf". I hope that simplifies. I will edit the user story and title to reflect that.
