many thanks for olgam for pointing this out! not sure if this should go to xp
toolkit: menus, but do triage as needed. found using 2002.02.11.1x comm bits on
win2k and linux rh7.2.
1. load http://mozilla.org/
2. bring up a context menu for a link --fwiw, i used mouse+right+click.
3. hit an access key for one of the context menu items --eg, the letter "o" to
open the link in another browser window.
results: a duplicate context menu briefly appears [it's more obvious on win2k,
it's just a flicker on linux], then the command is executed. this always occurs
if the mouse pointer isn't quite over the context menu --and erratically occurs
if the pointer is over and highlights a context menu item.

this is a regression...which has been around for a bit: after going through
older builds, it looks like this regressed btwn the 2001.12.10.06 [works fine]
and 2001.12.13.09 [exhibits bug] builds.
also occurs in both themes. n/a on mac since access keys don't work there.

narrowed down a bit: works in 2001.12.10.10, but broken in 2001.12.11.09 build.

Confirming this bug on Mandrake 8.2 Linux with current branch10 20020511
This happen also with using mouse click instead of hitting keyboard to select
the entry. See also the bug 129887 which is related (probably the same regression).

This is a screenshot of a short time interval when the second menu appears right
after clicking on a menu entry (of content right-click context menu).

Sairuh, martin, is this still happening?
I just tried on Win2k (where it is said to happen most obviously), but could not
reproduce.

I have not seen it for a long time. Seems fixed to me. (Linux, Mozilla 1.4-1.6)

Ok, WFM then, I guess. However, please reopen if this reappears.
