As we have now: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/nightly/all/ we should redirect https://nightly.mozilla.org/ to this page.

A better long term destination would be the new pre-release page(s) that are currently being designed (bug 1299947). This will include a page for Nightly (which will link to /firefox/nightly/all/ for a full list of builds).

We could always redirect to /nightly/all/ in the meantime though (not sure how many weeks out we are from having the pre-release pages completed).

Note that the target url should be https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/channel/desktop/#nightly (without the locale code so as to let www.mozilla.org deal with language negociation) now that we have a pre-release page with a section about Nightly.

To be able to redirect to www.mozilla.org we are only blocked on having Nightly for Android proposed on that page, kohei is going to work on this specific task in bug 1320098 so as to unblock us.

Alex, do you know who we should assign this bug to once we are ready?

As per :atoll in a relevant email thread, the right component should be WebOps: Other, like Bug 1144279.

So now that 1320098 is done, we want to redirect https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/nightly/all/ to https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/channel/desktop/#nightly ? The locale code is ok in the url we're redirecting from?

AFAIK /firefox/nightly/all/ will remain as-is, though in Bug 1314603 I'm adding redirects from /nightly/ and /firefox/nightly/ to /firefox/channel/desktop/#nightly. :atoll, can you please set up a redirect from https://nightly.mozilla.org/ to https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/channel/desktop/#nightly ? The locale code should be omitted here because the channel page is localized. Thanks!
