Bug 1295375 changed the Mac universal builds to 64bit-only in Firefox 53, and two rules were added to Balrog to not update 32bit users to a broken browser. The rule id's are 481 & 482.
This bug is about doing the same for Release when 53 merges there in April 2017.

this should be done now. 32-bit macOS clients should be frozen on latest version prior to 53.0: Firefox-52.0.2-build1

FYI, I just added this rule on esr-localtest[1]. It should be promoted to esr*, in the end.
I couldn't find a desupport blob. Nick, do you remember if we had any? If not, do you know why we didn't need one?

I've looked in Balrog and suppport.m.o and don't think we ever had one for this, and have just pointed at the last build that still worked on 32bit.

Okay, I'll put the same state on ESR, then. Thank you for looking into it!
