I believe the "Pocket" menu entry should expand to a list of recent entries like the history menu. This is how the pocket plugin works, and it is way more practical than opening a new tab every time.

Yes, that would be better, and it will likely get implemented at some point, but not as part of this bug.

OK, opened bug 1386831 for that.
Is this supposed to open the Library window, which doesn't currently include synced tabs, or the sidebar?

This button now exists, and as comment #0 says, it opens a panel, not a window. The panel has entries that do include synced tabs. We should probably close this metabug.
