Details
This is in Nightly 57.0a1 (2017-08-06) (64-bit) on OS X.
STR:
1. Go to about:addons and select "Appearance"
2. Select "Dark"
3. Select "Default"
4. Note that the tabs and area around the URL bar remain dark.
5. Select "Light"
6. Select "Default"
7. Note that the tabs and area around the URL bar are now light.
I would expect the application of a theme to be a stand-alone operation, and that the result of applying a theme would not vary based on the previously-selected theme.
