Description : When several tabs are open, some with favicon.ico, and some without it, if you switch between these tabs, the URL bar will be updated only if favicon.ico exists on this tab. If you try several times, and then switch between the "faviconed" tabs, then only the favicon.ico will be updated in the URL bar. Reproductible : yes, always.
WFM build 2002051006 (1.0RC2) on Windows NT
Reporter the steps to reproduce this bug are missing! A step by step procedure would be great, so that we all can check _if_ it is a bug and how it should be reproduced. WFM with RC2 (Linux only)
We also need to know your mozilla build ID (Build ID: xxxxxxxxzz) and these two pref settings in all.js: "browser.chrome.site_icons" and "browser.chrome.favicons" note: favicons and link icons are not using the same code!
WFM with trunk 2002073022, linux. reporter: can you reproduce this bug with a recent build of mozilla (for example, 1.1beta)? if so, please comment again with details. if not, please resolve this bug as WORKSFORME. thanks.
I didn't have the problem with Mozilla 1.1beta (after using it one week). It seems OK now.

Today it happened again on 1.1 Beta : after 3/4 hours of work, with a dozen of opened tabs in average, the URL bar isn't updated anymore. Look in the attachment : I opened mozilla.org, then slashdot.org (by typing the URL in the bar). After that I clicked on the mozilla.org tab, and the URL bar still displayed slashdot.org. Same problem with the others tabs, with favicon or not : the URL displayed is always the last URL typed, instead of being the URL of the tab. As before, I don't know how to reproduce it, since it arrived several hours after Mozilla's opening.

Reporter, there must be at least one error on the JS console (menu:tools:web development:JavaScript Console) when this happens, please report them here.
Yes there's a javascript error before the bug appears (repeated a lot of times): Error: redeclaration of const hide Source File: chrome://wallet/content/walletOverlay.js I don't know when these errors occured, I tried to monitor the javascript console when browsing tabs, opening tabs, but there are no errors occuring now, even if the URL bar is buggy. Some precisions about the bug : today I've opened 6 tabs, 2 of them having a favicon. - when switching between the 2 tabs with a favicon, the icon changes in the URL bar - when going on the second of the 4 other tabs, the icon of the URL bar changes to the default one - when going on all the other tabs, the icon of the URL bar doesn't change. - the URL in bar doesn't change when going from one tab to another

The walletoverlay errors are bug 112908, which was fixed in late april 2002. I'm using build ID 20030315 for linux. I can't reproduce this. The URL bar is updated reliably as I switch tabs. Cbaegert, is this still an issue for you? Can you reproduce it with a current copy of mozilla?
cbaegert, are you still experiencing this problem?
@reporter: Can you reproduce this with newer builds? You have use a very old browser (29.05.2002) for your attachmend (19.08.2002)
no response from reporter in nearly a year. WFM with linux trunk 20030713 marking WFM
