BuildID: 2002051006
We can already make bookmarks and bookmark folders. It would be cool if you
could create a bookmark group (tab group??) from one of the menus. It could
then be "filled" by dragging bookmarks into the group.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.go "Manage bookmarks"
2.try to make a new bookmark group
3.
Actual Results: doesn't exist
Expected Results: you would be able to make a new bookmark group and then fill
it up

Marking NEW.
this feature already exists, choose Bookmark -> File Bookmark -> File as group
and then using Bookmark Manager drag further bookmarks into the group. perhaps
I'm missing something, I don't understand why this was marked as NEW, shouldn't
it be INVALID?

MASS-CHANGE:
This bug report is registered in the SeaMonkey product, but has been without a comment since the inception of the SeaMonkey project. This means that it was logged against the old Mozilla suite and we cannot determine that it's still valid for the current SeaMonkey suite. Because of this, we are setting it to an UNCONFIRMED state.
If you can confirm that this report still applies to current SeaMonkey 2.x nightly builds, please set it back to the NEW state along with a comment on how you reproduced it on what Build ID, or if it's an enhancement request, why it's still worth implementing and in what way.
If you can confirm that the report doesn't apply to current SeaMonkey 2.x nightly builds, please set it to the appropriate RESOLVED state (WORKSFORME, INVALID, WONTFIX, or similar).
If no action happens within the next few months, we move this bug report to an EXPIRED state.

This feature still does not exist in Seamonkey 2, and would still be useful.

We have switched to Places Bookmarks on trunk SeaMonkey 2.1b builds so we don't have bookmark groups any more. You can now open folders in tabs from the contextual menu of any bookmark folder so you can use any folder as a "bookmark group".
