It should be trivially easy to create a copy of a message in the Drafts folder. I should be able to right-click on the message and tell it to copy to the same folder, or ctrl-c the message and then ctrl-v it. Instead, I have to copy it into some other folder and then move the copy back into the Drafts folder. Creating a copy of a Draft message is a perfectly reasonable and common use case. It should not be this hard.

Why don't you explain the difference?

You don't need to implement bug 512942 to fix this. You could simply allow the current copy message functionality to copy to the same folder, which it currently refuses to do.

Yes, ctrl-c / ctrl-v would be nice, but that's not the crux of this issue. The crux of this issue is the fact that the existing message copy functionality will not let you copy into the same folder, so you have to copy into a different folder and then move the message back.

I could easily see someone implementing ctrl-c / ctrl-v as mentioned in bug 512942 based on the current message copying functionality and therefore preserving the problem that this bug is asking to be fixed.
