Details

[Affected versions]: Nightly 63.0a1 (2018-08-07), Firefox 61.0.1, Firefox 62.0b15 [Affected platforms]: Platforms: Windows 10, Windows 7, Mac OS and Ubuntu 16.04 x64. [Steps to reproduce]: 1. Enable the search bar from about:preferences#search by clicking on "Add search bar in toolbar" option. 2. Click on the down arrow positioned near the magnifying glass in the Search bar 3. Now you have the "x" default search engine set. Press Ctrl+Down arrow on the keyboard to change the default search engine to "y" [Expected result]: - Search engine y appears as default, it disappears from the list of the browsers above and browser x appears. [Actual result]: - Search engine y appears as default, it appears in the list of the browsers above also and browser x doesn't appear at all in the list. (The list is being refreshed as in the Expected section only after the drop down is reopened)
I don't know whether this is a regression or it's always worked like this. We added caching in bug 1383749 and bug 1312999, but they might not be related at all. This doesn't seem like a super high priority bug since it involves switching between using the mouse and keyboard while the popup's open, and it's not on our roadmap, but we'd certainly accept a patch, so I'll give this a P5 for now.

Actually this is bug 1204241, but that bug report is harder to follow than this one is
