Twice today (or perhaps the first time was yesterday), I restarted Nightly to pick up an update (this morning's and this evening's), and Firefox just quit without restarting. (I'm not 100% sure that the first time I saw this was this morning's update, but the second time was definitely this evening's.)

Both times, I had previously hit bug 1534508, where I'd opened a link from my terminal after I had the update prompt showing and then started seeing symptoms of running a build that had been updated (e.g., inability to start new child processes). I think this might have been a side-effect of that.

However, Mossop said he wasn't sure, and asked that I file a bug.

Note that this is definitely after the fix for bug 1533708 (particularly my restart in the past hour to pick up a build from a few hours before that).

I'm running Linux x86-64 builds on Ubuntu 18.04.2.

Hi David, are you still able to reproduce this bug now that bug 1534508 has landed? Thanks

Depends on: 1534508

I haven't seen it since, and this morning I did make sure to open a link from my terminal window after the update was ready.

Flags: needinfo?(dbaron)

Thanks David!
