*** observed with 2002-06-25-1.0.0 build ****
This bug hit me twice already, steps to reproduce:
- i have english WinXP ( to be able to work with japanese, chinese builds i
change my settings in Control panel);
- create a new profile that would have a double-byte name with a localized build;
- exit;
- change settings back to english system;
- start an english build;
- in my list of profiles there are several ascii profile names and a couple of
double-byte profile names;
- select a double-byte profile name, click on "remove" button, select "Delete
files";
- now select an ascii profile, click start;
- at this point i get an error message that the profile with that name can not
be found even though it is listed in the profile manager window;
- go to Explorer (Applications data\Profiles\Mozilla\etc) and note that the
profile with double-byte name that you wanted to delete is there , instead the
ascii profile is gone. It is not possible to delete the double-byte profile from
the Profile manager window, selecting it and clicking "Remove" removes only
ascii names
