BuildID: 2002053012
Into the Collected Addresses address book, one can collect e-mail addresses
fromincoming mail, outgoing, or both. I have two suggestions:
1. Have some kind of scan so that a new entry to Collected Addresses will NOT be
made if there is an idential e-mail address already in one of the user's
addressbooks (possibly the user can select which one or ones to scan).
2. Some way, perhaps interactive with the user at runtime, to accurately set the
html preference of the new entry before it is saved. (This is not nearly as
important to me as the previous suggestion, though.)
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce: Not applicable.
Actual Results: Entries to collected addresses are made even if they are
duplicative.
Suggested/Desired Results: Only new entries would be made to collected addresses.

Well, I must be in real good company then!
Resolving as dup of bug 58769.
I think the second RFE here (which is completely unrelated to duplicates being
collected) should be resolved as "WONTFIX". Sounds like a bad idea to be forced
to interact with tons of spam addresses being collected each day. A pref for
such a feature would be even worse. Ugly bloat, IMO.
Related: bug 76241, bug 134537
If you still feel that the second RFE deserves it's own bug, please file it
separately. Please don't file more than one issue per bug.

No, the second RFE doesn't deserve its own bug, at least not as suggested.
