STR:

  1. Install Decentraleyes extension.
  2. Go to about:addons and view the extension's preferences.
  3. Drag the tab for about:addons out of the tab strip so that it opens in a new window.

The extension's preferences become blank and require the page to be manually refreshed. Does not happen with extensions.webextensions.remote = false.
