I'm getting bug 112869 UI reviewed and cleaned up. Dveditz finally agreed to reserve a few cycles for a sr=. Just FYI: it's one of Netscape's priorities to have uninstall UI for language/content packs in Moz 1.2, even though this functionality might be short-lived and fold into a generic solution later on. I'd suggest to do this conversion done after the 1.2 milestone. and for my info: is there any UI spec/request for this conversion. Are all listboxes going to be replaced by dropdowns? There is at least one, which IMHO will not be easily replaceable: accept languages. I'm the original author of the all of these panels (including the content packs) and somehow I still feel attached to the stunning UI we hacked together many moons ago ;-)

Kairo, timeless: Why would we want to do that?

we will not do that after all, we only have one listbox left, and we will probably remove the whole pref pane if bug 377881 will really be solved.
