STR:
- Open about:addons
- Scroll to Recommended Extensions
- Click on the name of one of the recommended extensions
What happens:
I can select the text, but I cannot visit the add-on page.
Clicking on the author's name takes me to the add-on page instead of taking me to the author listing.
Expected result:
I am taken to the add-on page.
--
This feels like a form over function decision was made at some point -- it doesn't make sense that clicking on the author's name would take me to the add-on page.

Bugbug thinks this bug is a enhancement, but please change it back in case of error.

This a intentional. We could link to a user profile page on AMO, but it has very little information. Users who seek more information about the add-on and its developers are better served by the add-on listing.

I disagree. The link to the AMO page should be moved to the Add-on name -- this way it's obvious how to get to the AMO page. For example, I was initially confused about the same thing. I thought that link would take me to the author page and I was confused about how to get to the AMO page.

We have revisited the decision in comment 2 and are going to improve the UI, follow bug 1668988 for progress (never mind the earlier comments, the latest thoughts are around comment 13).
